It’s 8:00 am on a beautiful Monday morning in Tampa, Florida and thirteen 05 creative is open for business. As the Project Manager, I may be biased, but I have to say I have the best job in the house. When I walk in the door, I’m immediately greeted by furry paws and friendly excitement as I make my way to my desk.
To start off the day, my first actions are fueling up with a Panera bagel, choosing the perfect Spotify playlist and creating a game plan for the week. With numerous active clients and projects moving in different directions at the same time, it’s vital to stay organized and balance everything that’s going on. As a company, we come together to discuss priorities and get caught up on what our goals are for that day and the week ahead. Having a small, tight knit team is one of the things I love about thirteen05 and our weekly morning meetings are my opportunity to learn about everything that’s happening outside my world of projects.
After kicking off the day with a great meeting and setting the tone for the day, I jump into my emails and get to work. I have the opportunity to work with so many great clients, and following up with all of them is enough to keep me busy throughout the day. But this is also what I enjoy most about my job, spending my time building relationships and working hard to give our clients exactly what they want. Juggling clients and managing multiple projects is a challenge that makes me excited to come to work every day, no day is like the one before and there’s always a new test to overcome.
I couldn’t accomplish any of this alone and I’m grateful to have an amazing team in place that makes my job easier. By utilizing quick check ins and establishing short sprints and goals for the day, we’re able to make progress on all of our active projects. I credit a lot of our success to the guys, and the fact that each one of them brings a valuable skill set to our clients. Within our team dynamics, we’ve established complete transparency and direct and open communication, which I believe translates into better work for our clients. The saying, times flies when you’re having fun, couldn’t ring truer and before I realize it 5pm rolls around. To wrap up the day you can find me in a short end of day meeting with my team to gearing up to do the same thing tomorrow.
