Your Next Business Purchase Should Be Professional Photography
Web design is, for the most part, dependent on quality photography. When designing a website for a client that only has blurry low resolution photos and is unwilling to use stock photography, the end result will not be pretty. Check out this example of how much modern web design relies on imagery; these are two screenshots of apple.com, one with images and one without. To make it worse, Apple includes some words in their images on the bottom row.
Why Choose Professional Photography?
Better quality photos.
I don’t care what phone you have, a professional camera will always be better in terms of quality. Also, when saving/sending pictures from a phone to your computer for putting on your website, the quality of the image is often compromised to make it easier to send. It’s always a good idea to have the largest and highest resolution images possible. Though most of the time images are optimized for websites so they load faster, this should be done in a way that doesn’t compromise the quality of the photos. In the future, retina and 4k screens will be used as computer monitors, and will require higher quality photos for the design to always match your vision no matter what device users are on.
It’s what they do.
Any professional photographer should have enough experience to know where the lighting will be best and how to focus their camera properly; while, phones don’t always choose the best settings for a perfect picture.
Pictures Last Forever.
The pictures professional photographers take should last you a lifetime. The quality is so good that it will withstand the test of time, so even though it might seem pretty pricey to have them taken, it’s more of an investment.
When to Get Photos Taken?
Now. It doesn’t matter if you don’t necessarily have a platform to display these photos, it’s better to have them for when you’re ready to do things like get a new website or create a Facebook page. Having professional photography will give your business a professional look and feel, and will help to instill confidence in your audience. Perception is everything when it comes to brand development. And, if you find your business growing to the point where you need advertising like billboards and magazine articles, you will NEED professional photography.
I can’t tell you how many times we go to build a website that requires high-quality photography, and are then forced to stall the project while we wait for the client to get the final images. Just like a great website, photography you can be proud of will take time. Having it on hand when you’re ready to take action can make all the difference.
Do your business a favor and get good, quality photography. Not only will it come in handy as your business grows, it can help future business endeavors run smoother.
