Joshua has an eclectic, curious, and creative mind that steered him down an unorthodox path to the art of marketing. After getting laid off from his job as a Line Cook at the start of the pandemic, Joshua joined Home Depot as a Merchandising Specialist.
In his down time, he invested in advancing his future career opportunities by studying and taking copious notes from a course on digital marketing that he had purchased from a Search Engine manager who had successfully been in the field for 7+ years.
While working through his marketing course, Joshua also continued his side hustle: the art of crafting flameworked glass vessels. We told you he had an eclectic, curious mind! So, after completing the course, and after 6 years of profitably marketing and selling his own glass creations to galleries, Josh acquired his first service-based marketing client.
After a year of working as a marketing professional, combined with his passion-driven learning speed and ability to literally “inhale” the ins and outs of marketing, Joshua garnered the attention of recruiters looking for a self-starter in the internet marketing agency world.
After several interviews with various other businesses, Joshua came to the attention of our CEO, Rich Byrd, who immediately recognized that Josh’s ambition and obvious potential to become a pillar of support on the thirteen05 Internet Marketing team was something he just couldn’t pass on. And Rich was right. Again.
